ADHI DAIV

FOUNDER and CHIEF OPERATING COORDINATOR

Adhi Daiv (15) is the founder of ‘Urvara - Greening Mother Earth.’ He was deeply moved by the water travails of the people of his home state Rajasthan. His search to find a permanent and sustainable solution to green the deserts led him to indigenous method of tree plantation, which requires only one liter of water for its entire life. After the success of his pilot project, by mobilizing the rural communities for this purpose, he is now working to expand it in other parts of the state and across India. He is actively seeking partners and mentors to help replicate this experiment globally.

SHRI SUNDARAM VERMA

PROJECT ADVISER

Padmashri awardee Shri Sundaram Verma is a farmer scientist who formulated the one liter water technique of plantation. He has been honored with many national and international awards for his work in agro-biodiversity, plant breeding, and crop science. He is responsible for guiding the team from choosing the right location and correct method of implementation of his unique and revolutionary technique of plantation.

Mrs. ANJALI SHARMA

SPECIAL COORDINATOR for ANGANWADI WORKERS

A government School teacher in Lamiya village of Sikar district, Mrs. Anjali has an experience of twenty years in the field of education. She has played a crucial role in connecting and coordinating with the Anganwadi women of different villages. These workers have helped us reach the rural women and children and thus helped in spreading the message and work of Urvara along with collecting funds and resources.


MANOJ BHAI

LOCATION COORDINATOR

Manoj Bhai is leading our projects in the villages of Nagaur,Jodhpur and Barmer districts of Rajasthan.He is a people’s person who goes out of his way to help anyone in need.His patience and experience on the field and with people has helped team Urvara in multitudinous ways.

Mr NARINDER KUMAWAT

LOCATION COORDINATOR

He has an extensive knowledge and experience in the field of agronomic practices. He is working along with Srishti and National Innovation Foundation, India for the past eleven years to find the rural talents in the field of scientific and agricultural innovation. He helps in locating the ideal land in the government schools and Gaushalas (ground for abandoned cattle) in the villages for plantation so that the benefit of our work reaches maximum number of people and cattle.

SHRI HARILAL MUWAL

PLANTATION COORDINATOR

Shri Harilal MUWAL has been practicing and teaching the indegenous method of one litre water technique of tree plants for the past 40 years.He has been an important and integral part of URVARA.He supervises the ground work and teaches the school children and other village community members the right steps of technique to follow during the plantation drive

MASTER HIMANSHU KUMAWAT

ACTIVIST &TEACHER COORDINATOR

He is a class 12 student from Kuchaman city, Nagaur who takes great pride in working for the environmental issues. He has been actively involved with Urvara’s plantation drives. He also contributes by teaching the school students through Urvara’s special E – book developed for this purpose .He also trains the new volunteers for the same.

Mr PHOOLCHAND KUMAWAT

COMMUNITY MOBILIZATION COORDINATOR

A farmer by profession, he has been practicing methods of water conservation and indigenous farming techniques for many years. He, as a member of Urvara, helps In mobilizing and creating awareness among the local farming community.

Mrs SUMAN KUMARI KUMAWAT

SPECIAL WOMEN MOBILIZATION COORDINATOR

She is an arts graduate who works with a group of rural women to grow different species of fruits and trees. She also spends time researching on different kind of crops. She dedicates her time towards mobilizing the rural communities and connecting them to Urvara.

Mr RAJINDER KUMAR

GAUSHALA COORDINATOR

He is an active member of many Gaushala executive bodies in Sikar district. He coordinates with different government bodies for the permissions and smooth functioning of our work. He also organizes many blood camps in the villages every year.

MISS HARSHITA KUMAWAT

VOLUNTEER ACTIVIST

She is the youngest member of team Urvara. She is a class six student of a government school in Danta village of Sikar. She helps by teaching the one liter water technique practically on ground to the rural children of her age during the plantation drive.She also helps with training the new volunteers with the one litre water technique of plantation.

MASTER HARSHAL

VOLUNTEER ACTIVIST

Master Harshal is a student of Mahatma Gandhi Government School in Danta village of Sikar district,Rajasthan.He is an avid book reader and enjoys playing video games in his free time.He is excellent with his research and plant data collection skills which has contributed to the constant development of one liter technique of plantation.

MISS KHUSHI

GAUSHALA COORDINATOR

Miss Khushi is a student of Shree Mahaveer International School,Renwal,dist Jaipur ,Rajasthan. She is a concerned environmentalist who joined the team Urvara after reading about our work in the local newspaper that we were doing in the villages of Rajasthan.She helps in the tree plantation drive and mobilisation of rural communities.

MISS RIYA

VOLUNTEER ACTIVIST

Miss Riya is a student of Euro Convent School in Dantaramgarh of Sikar district,Rajasthan. She is an animal lover and believes that afforestation is important to conserve the wildlife of the state.Many abandoned livestock and farm animals in the villages consume poly bags while scavenging garbage bins for food.This leads to their untimely painfuldie death .She teaches children about responsible waste segregation in the school and outside.

MISS KUMKUM

VOLUNTEER ACTIVIST

Miss Kumkum is a student of Ashirwad Kids Academy located in Pachar Village ,Dantaramgarh,Sikar district,Rajasthan.She is a dancing enthusiast whose performance mesmerises everyone.She has played an important role during our education drive creating awareness about the interrelationship of local socio-economic and environmental issues and ways to combat them.She has also trained many school children to work as volunteers for Urvara.
